GENUINE VINTAGE 1990s RUSSIAN MATRYOSHKA NESTING DOLL - 10 DOLLS - FAIRYTALE. On offer is a very attractive Matryoshka Nesting doll from Russia. Artist made in Russia in the 1990s, the artist's signature is on the base of the largest doll. Ten dolls, the largest being approx. 7" (18 cm) and the smallest 0.75" (2.5 cm).

Beautifully handpainted in more muted, traditional tones. Very well detailed and with gold accents throughout. It features the story of a Russian fairytale but I'm not sure which one! The dolls have been varnished giving them a lovely shiny sheen. This set is brand new and has never been displayed.

I have listed it as used as some of the paintwork on the base has come away due to the removal of a price tag. I have checked each doll and they are all in excellent condition.

The second largest doll has a very tiny amount of wood showing to the top of the bottom piece, this was how it was made. The dolls have never been displayed only carefully stored.
