Beautifully hand painted Matryoshka doll signed by the artist. The complete scene depicts a mother and child with a picturesque village in the background. Angels and children decorate the other nested dolls.

There are no visible scratches, nicks, or dents. The wood is intact and not warped. Comes from a smoke free and pet free home. This set of Matryoshka were made in 1998. The largest doll measures: H 6.8 in x W 3.12 in. Second doll measures: H 5 in x W 3 in. Third doll measures: H 4 in.

X W 2.4 in. Fourth doll measures: H 3 in. X W 1.12 in. Fifth doll measures: H 2.4 in x W 1 in.

Maria Streltsova studied in Abramtcevo Art School in Khotkovo, Moscow region. This college gave birth to a number of well-known matryoshka artists. The dolls of Maria Streltsova are lyrical and full of fantasy. She also creates cloth dolls and works in ceramics, graphic arts and oil painting.

Maria has taken part in many art exhibitions, given master-classes of Matryoshka and cloth doll-making in the USA and is a member of Russian State Art Union.
