RUSSIAN 10-PIECE RUSSIA RELIGIOUS ICON MATRYOSHKA NESTING DOLLS. This unusual Russian nesting doll was handmade in Russia (city unknown) using the traditional matryoshka-making techniques. It features many bright colors and gold foil, is 11 tall, has a total of 10 dolls, and has been highly glossed. Thematically it includes God the Father, Mary the Mother of Jesus, Jesus, and Russian patron saints. On the back of the set is a picture of Orthodox Christian Cathedrals.
