This set of Matryoshka dolls (10-in-1) is completely handmade and unique. Each single doll is made of natural wood (linden tree).

They are all painted with tempera and richly decorated with golden leaf. The dolls are covered with 4-6 layers of lacquer. This Matryoshka is painted in luscious, bright colors.

It is decorated by large amounts of golden leaf. In hands of each Matryoshka there are objects which are the integral part of the traditional Russian ceremony - tea drinking. Certainly, the main place is always assigned to a samovar. A samovar (literally "self-brewer") is a heated metal container traditionally used to heat and boil water in and around Russia, as well as in other Slavic nations. Since the heated water is usually used for making tea, many samovars have an attachment on top of its lid to hold and heat a teapot filled with tea concentrate. Though traditionally heated with coal or charcoal, many newer samovars use electricity and heat water in a similar manner as an electric water boiler.
