This Matryoshka is made in St. Petersburg in the Firebird workshop.

This is set of 5 pieces. The biggest doll height is 4 3/4" (12cm) and diameter is 3 1/2" (9cm). The smallest doll height is 1 1/4" (3cm) and diameter is 1" (2.5cm). This nesting doll set tells us the A. Pushkin story "The Tale of Tsar Saltan, of his son, the glorious and mighty knight prince Gvidon Saltanovich, and of the fair Swan-princess".

On the blue sea now he gazes. Swam the graceful snow-white swan. "Greetings, my fair prince, " said she. Why are you so sad, tell me? Why are you so dismal, say. Like a gloomy, cloudy day? It is painted by three artists. Each artist carries out the part of the work. The first painter draws the face, the second realizes the fairy tale and the third designs the shawl.

This work of art is made of linden and tempera paints, as well as varnished in 3 layers with a safe Finnish lacquer, which allows not to spoil the product for years. The matryoshka is handmade, so it may differ slightly from the photo.
