Hand-painted wooden set depicts a woman wearing a predominantly red and green sarafan with a draped hood while both arms are crossed across the chest. Nicely detailed at the sleeves, around the neck, and on the back of the head shaped as a single flower.

Seven pieces from reds to greens and slightly get lighter the smaller they get. Smallest doll is actually blue. Bottom of largest doll is tagged with a red "Made in USSR" sticker.

Dolls range from the largest 5 1/2" High x 3" Wide and continue to decrease in size, the smallest doll being a mere 7/8" H x 1/2" W. Very good, age appropriate condition. Hand finished pieces show signs of cosmetic imperfections in some areas of the painted finish. No fading of the sharp colors, breaks, chips or dents of the wood. 6z #8 1L Toys russian_doll (RHS).
