Hand-Painted Nested Dolls Matryoshka WWII World War Russian-German Chess Set. This one-of-a-kind chest set measures 20 x 20, and was custom created in Russia (St Petersburg) in 1994 at the request of a US Delegate living in Russia to illustrate the Soviet/German battles of WWII.

Set features HAND turned and painted Russian Nested Doll pieces (not actual nesting dolls, but designed to appear), and a board highlighting all key battles as defined by the artist.
