Incredible Vintage Ceprueb Nocag 8 Piece Matryoshka Russian Nesting Dolls Signed

  

Welcome to this listing for these astonishing Russian nesting dolls. They are 8 piece with the mother doll measuring 9cm high.

This is not a huge size and what i find amazing is that the artist has managed to fir another 7 inside her with the smallest being about the size of a grape pip and still painted with features! This is fully signed on the decorated base'Ceprueb Nocag' 8M and a Cyrillic date which i think is 1990's and the artists name and i've spent a while trying to translate it from Cyrillic and the closest i've got is Yatsevich. This may mean something to somebody.

I'm sure there are collectors out there who will know more. What is clearly apparent and supports the saying'small is beautiful' is these are great quality. The painting has been skilfully executed with great stylised detailing with a beautiful subdued palette. What i always appreciate is the paining on the base.

This is always a sign of quality when the artist bothers to decorate an area that is rarely seen. It shows they take pride in their work. These would definitely have cost more that your normal set.

They have come from a collection as well and they look to mainly date from the 90's. This is not an area i'm particularly knowledgable in but i can see the quality in this set in particular.

Please study all the images carefully. They are in perfect condition, with no splits to the wood or chips or scratches. If you are a collector than i urge you to seriously consider these as a very worthwhile investment. A superb addition to a collection or an amazing and unique present for that special somebody.
