Up for sale is a Vintage PALECH Style Complete 10pcs Russian Nesting Dolls SET'RUSLAN I LUDMILA' Signed L. Gondenko Beautiful set, probably was made in 1980-90s, it is not dated. Hand painted with different scenes from A. Pushkin's fairy tale'Ruslan i Ludmila'.

Sadly all dolls have some degree of damage probably due to be stored next to a radiator or something similar. Most damage is on the largest doll as the smaller dolls possibly were stored inside of it and have been affected by the damage slightly less. The main damage is around the seams of dolls where paint has came off. The largest doll has fairly big pieces of paint that came off, additionally the large doll has some small chips around the wooden base and a few small dents on its body.

The smaller dolls have a paint chipped off around seams as well. Please study the photos to see the extent of the damage on them. Seams on dolls are not very tight and slightly loose. The largest doll measures approx.

8.5inch (21.5cm) high and is signed on bottom in Cyrillic'L. The signature is fairly faded and difficult to see. Please let me know if you require any additional photos of specific areas on dolls.
