Classic vintage set of 6 nesting SEMYONOV Style Matroyshka Dolls, made in the USSR before the fall of communism. Beautifully hand painted turned hardwood with no cracks or wear, still fitting together like new. The Semyonov style is characterized by beautiful hand painted APRONS, charming round faces and many pieces. This set has 6 nested dolls, with the largest measuring 5 1/2" tall and the smallest just 1 1/2". Dolls are sized 5 1/2" 4 1/4" 3 1/4" 2 5/8" 2" 1 1/2".

Very nice vintage condition, bought and owned by a world traveler and never played with. Made of turned hardwood, no visible signs of wear or cracks. Original paper label on outside doll.
