Welcome to The Curious Crow. HAND PAINTED RUSSIAN NESTING DOLL.

The largest doll is 12" tall and the smallest is 7/8". I think the painting depicts scenes from the Russian fairy tale, Ivan Tsarevich and the Firebird. The dolls are beautifully painted and each have a different scene. Signed on the bottom - made in Sergiev Posad.

Some lacquer chipping around the edges where the dolls separate, but nothing that detracts. There are also tiny bubbles in the clear coat layer.
